My first fan art about 300, an absolute *must-see* . I've spent maybe about 15-25 hours in total. I've really had much fun with this one. I used everything I could and have learnt from other awesome deviants. In this drawing I mostly used round and dust brushes with scatering for randomness on the helmet, the blade, dirt, aso.

I painted from a screen capture. Of course it's not 100% accurate. I've also added a few details and changes — a warrior with a clean blade doesn't look very serious. So I've added blood and scratches on his blade. It's not the only details I've added, can you spot more?

The reference picture was a little bit blurry and I wanted the final drawing to be neat. That was not easy but I like the result. The explosion is very rough but, hey, that's an explosion, right?

EDIT - Adjustments:

Decreased saturation on the cape
Blurred a few areas for more depth/movement
Re-coloured the fire trail to make it consistent with the explosion
Added a light halo/dust around the shield

[In case you wondered, I did not use my previous explosion on this one. I keep «Blown away» for another deviation.]
